Come and join the Pride and Remembrance Run 2013 running on June 29, 2013 at 1pr_lovethiscitytv10:00am. The starting line will be at the Corner of Church and Wellesley Streets in downtown Toronto. What makes this event worth going to? It’s the help that you can give to different charities. Pledge and Remembrance Run has successfully helped organizations like Planned Parenthood Toronto, the Canadian Lesbian & Gay Archives, HIV & AIDS Legal Clinic and The Pride and Remembrance Foundation. You get help people with needs, acknowledging their weaknesses and giving the strength to live life and in- return you get that feeling of accomplishment and have a healthy lifestyle.

The Pride and Remembrance Association’s main goal is to promote sportsmanship and camaraderie. All proceeds and pledges received from the thousands that participate in the event are all donated to their chosen beneficiaries. This year it could be you who can save a soul from making a wrong turn in life.

The past events were a huge success, year after year communities were thankful for all the blessings and help they have received. Last year The Pride and Remembrance event raised over $80,000 that was divided amongst the beneficiaries supported for that year.

For years, thousands have participated in the event this includes numerous celebrities, political figures and ordinary people all coming together to support the event that happens every year.

3pr_lovethiscitytvThe Pride and Remembrance Association will also hold a kick-off party to introduce the beneficiaries that will be supported for 2013’s event. This is your chance to help out even before the day of the run. The kick-off party will certainly enlighten you more on the beneficiaries supported in the event.

The run of the event is a 3k and 5k distance, not bad, not that far but if you think you’re not up for the run, feeling a little weak in the knees, then you could also sign-up to be a volunteer and support the event. The event needs a lot of volunteers and it could be you, a lot of activities are lined up like being a Course Marshall, propping up the water stations and a whole lot more. Running is an option, you can simply walk, just keep in mind the reason why you’re doing this. There are endless possibilities on how can you be part of this event, don’t wait for next year to join.
