School is out, the sun is hot and the gates are wide open!
Located about 30 minutes slightly north-west of Toronto in Brampton is Wild Water Kingdom, a large water park where families go to cool off in the summer.
With thrilling attractions for all splash enthusiasts the kingdom is expecting you whether you fancy yourself a ‘Night Rider’ or prefer to take a trip abroad the ‘Midnight Express.’ Perhaps you’d rather plummet into ‘The Abyss’ or barrel down the ‘Corkscrew.’ Either way you choose to get soaked, you’re in for high speeds, dark tunnels and free falls.
Don’t feel like getting wet? Then Canada’s fastest, longest, face-first (yes, you read right, FACE FIRST) zipline awaits you. Suitably named Face Drop, the thrilling zipline is 1200 feet long with a vertical drop of over 80 feet. Not recommended for the faint at heart.
If that doesn’t cut it, just walk on over to the picnic area and enjoy the exhilarating sounds of waterworks from a distance.
The park also offers all-inclusive birthday packages, so you don’t have to lift a finger planning parties.
And to ensure that those who are not on vacation don’t feel left out, there is an Urban Oasis ideal for staff engagement events for a day outside of the office.
The staff at Wild Water Kingdom is polite, friendly and accommodating and it is a great place to spend time with family.
Not from Toronto or the GTA? Plenty of hotels near the park are ready to welcome you, including The Courtyard Marriott and Monte Carlo Inn.
If this weather keeps it up, you may just need a season’s pass. But hurry, it’s only open until September 1st.
