Toronto Beer Week starts September 18th and for an entire week it aims to make sure you’re never thirsty. From the 18-26th check out over 70 different venues and drink beers from 35 different breweries. You probably won’t be able to get to all of them but here are seven events to check out to celebrate everyone’s favorite drink.
1. WVRST Craft Invitational — September 18th
This is the official TO Beer Week launch party at Amsterdam Brewhouse. The festivities will feature 18 up and coming breweries and drinkers vote for their favs. There isn’t a cover so save that money on brews and be merry with your bros.
2. GLB & Friends Danforth Pub Crawl — September 19th
You probably didn’t notice any of the words before “pub crawl” but we don’t blame you. Everyone loves a good brew crawl. Great Lakes Brewery, Junction Craft and Left Field Brewery welcomes crawlers to The Wren, Court Jester, Factory Girl, and Rales and Ales among other places. The best part about the crawl is it’s free and again that means more money in your pocket to spend on brews.
3. Mill Street’s TBW Brewmasters Dinner — September 20
Sundays are still fun days! For $69.99 you can snag you a nice dinner and travel through five Toronto neighborhoods through food. Each dish will be paired with a specially made brew. Learn more about this event here.
4. The Amsterdam/Indie Alehouse Farmhouse Beer Dinner – September 21
It’s fact that beer makes dinner more exciting. Sip six beers made traditional style and enjoy a family style three course meal. For $60 this is quite the deal. Grab your ticket here. You’re welcome in advance because after trying Chef Avaughn Wells and Chef Todd Clarmo’s food you’re going to come back and thank us.
5. Great Lakes/Nickelbrook Tap Takeover — September 22
Another free event! Free is one of our favorite words. The Wren teams up with Great Lakes Brewery and features six beers from each brewery on tap. Just don’t get too drunk it’s a Tuesday after all.
6. The Golden Tap Awards — September 23
The people have voted and the winners of the The Golden Taps will be announced at BeerBistro. This is the thirteen year for this brewery awards. Beer enthusiasts from all walks of life voted on their favorite crafts to their favorite Ontario brewpub. You’ll get to sample all the beers available and if you like them leave with a pint. 7. Mills Street Oktoberfest –September 26
The best way to end the week is with an Oktoberfest. Music, live polka, lots of beer and live dance you’ll never want to leave. $25 gets you in on all the fun and you even get a souvenir and beer tokens. What’s better than that?
