The Honda Indy Toronto is back again from July 18 to 20 at Exhibition Place for its annual IndyCar Series race with the best Indy race car drivers ripping the streets of the surrounding area, located near Lake Ontario and downtown Toronto. This track is now IndyCar’s second longest running street race.
As Ontario’s largest annual sporting event and one of the most respected motor sport events in North America, The Honda Indy brings the fastest racing series to Toronto. It also includes festival attractions like craft beer, food trucks, interactive games and activities, live entertainment, as well as charity events. In addition to all of that, attendees are treated to adrenaline filled shows that leave them anticipating the next Honda Indy Toronto installment.
This year, the onsite attractions will incorporate elements of a Craft Beerfest, which features local breweries that bring the total craft beer experience to Honda Indy with their unique handcrafted premium beers. In additon, the Motorfest provides spectators with up-close access to electric backstage excitement and the best chance at running into an IndyCar driver, while the Tastefest offers a variety of food truck, gourmet and beverage vendors to enhance the experience for event-goers by ensuring there is something to satisfy everyone’s palate.
The Adrenalinefest will offer an array of high-energy activities across the event site, such as watching the Stihl Timbersport Series crown a Canadian Champion and select a team that will represent Canada at the Stihl Timersports 2014 World Chamiponships, learning how to ride a Honda dirt bike from the Honda Junior Red Riders, testing your skills and speed at changing a real race car tire at the Honda Pit Stop Challenge and watching fire fighters run with at least 50 lbs of protective gear at the Firefit Championships. To add to the lineup of festivities, the Celebratinfest will include the pre-race ceremonies, victory circle, the Toronto Sun Grid Girl search (whose winner will be crowned July 2nd) and the autograph sessions.
The Indyfest offers attendees to experience Honda Fan Fridays, featuring a packed schedule of on-track and off-track stunt shows, contests, like the Toronto Suns Start Your Engine Contest, and much more. Following Fan Friday, you can still keep your Friday night going with Edgefest, which features live entertainment that keeps you immersed in the Honda Indy festive atmosphere.
