Summer 2014 Recap: Cabana Pool Bar

Sun worshippers loved Polson Pier this summer and that’s all thanks to Toronto’s newest and coolest pool bar, Cabana Poolbar.

Toronto has some pretty cool pools bars already like Muzik, but it’s always cool when there’s a “new pool in town.” Want to do everything in a bikini (or equivalent) and bling then this is the place for you.

With amazing lakeside views, a poolside, solarium and a north and south patio, it’s been called anything from a Miami-style resto-lounge (South Beach) to Jersey Shore.

Deemed the “day-to-night” party spot, this waterfront paradise has private cabanas, daybeds, deluxe lounges and the sprawling patio can hold up to 2500 party poolers. With that much space the possibilities are endless.

From the launch party in June, where we were invited to take the #dayoff with Tim Anderson, Craig Smith and Kendra Kemerley, their calendar of events left you no choice, but to enjoy the 100ft poolside bar while you sip on a TOjito (mojito with maple syrup) or two.

We were invited to Ditch Fridays, Daylife Saturdays and Sundays and a Red Hot party where the dress code was, well, red hot!

And where else would you rather watch the 2014 FIFA World Cup than on their 12 ft X 12 ft LED digital outdoor screen? In true Brasil style no less.

July rolled in with Agua de Cuba (music by Mark Oliver), The Bikini Village Fashion Show (naturally) and the Get Wet Pool Party (ahem) indeed.

August was unreal as a Lil’ Jon DJ Set pumped up the Unreal Pool Party – Turn Down For What?! We saw white (attire) on Carte Blanche Sunday and Guess (by Marciano) bade us to soak in the sun on a sweet Saturday afternoon – twist your arm right?

It’s all about luxury for the 25 plus crowd who have been to the south of France, Miami and Vegas and know what luxury is as owner, Charles Khabouth wanted it. And with an Oliver and Bonacini menu, luxury is all that can roll out your mouth.

If you missed your chance of Cabana Pool-ing this summer, check out their Official Closing Party (for the summer) on September 14th featuring DJ Miss Tara, Manzone & Strong and Christina
