Six Haunted Spots in The Six

No one actually knows the answers when it comes to spirits and haunts but as humans we like to think we do. We find ourselves searching for explanations for the unexplained and we don’t stop until we find logic. The answer is sometimes there isn’t any logic to explain why some places feel spookier than others. Some cities have monuments and folklore to add explanations to the unexplained. We rounded up our top six maybe haunted spots in Toronto so visit at your own risk.

Keg Mansion
515 Jarvis Street

Six Haunted Spots in The SixThis restaurant has amazing eats that seem pretty otherworldly. Allegedly people claim that they feel the presence of people who aren’t there and hear phantom children. Those accounts alone are enough to ensure my visits are brief.

Old City Hall
60 Queen Street West

Six Haunted Spots in The SixMost historical places are filled with more than just rich history. The Old City Hall apparently always has two extra inhabitants. The last two men who were sentenced to hanging are rumored to still be lingering around the halls moaning in the empty halls.

Human remains were found at this site some time ago and since then people have been digging up more history than anyone can handle.  Inmates were mistreated for years and it’s rumored that two people roam the halls giving people chills.

The Royal York Hotel
100 Front Street West

Six Haunted Spots in The SixIt wouldn’t be the biggest surprise if this place was haunted. There’s some stories people have left behind. Rumor has it that a former employee hung himself on the staircase near the roof deck. It may be the same ghosts that roams the halls on the eighth floor. Either way, we don’t really want to find out.

Gibraltar Point Light House
Lakeshore Ave

Six Haunted Spots in The SixAfter being brutally murdered the lighthouse keeper roams the grounds. The tale has it that his name was John and he’s looking for his lost limbs.

Humber College
3199 Lakeshore Blvd West

Talk about college blues. Humber College used to be a psychiatric hospital and the patients are still hanging around. Students claim to hear humming, smell flowers, and witness a lot of unexplainable things that only point to spirits.

The older the building, the richer the history. With history does come tragedy and work tragedies do come stories of spirits seeking revenge. Some of these stories wouldn’t be surprising if they were true. What do you think the spookiest spot in Toronto is?
