For David Gravell, the night is calling. And boy does he give it an answer. Busting out one solid production after another, the global crowds have embraced his unique sound. No longer will his tracks be the long-kept ID’s in the sets of W&W and Armin van Buuren — from now on dance-land knows exactly how to recognize a Gravell tune when they hear one. And the good thing is, there are plenty more where that came from. 2014 is the year of David Gravell.

Driven by relentless energy and an openness to different styles, it didn’t take long before the Amsterdam-based studio wizard David Gravell was discovered by Mainstage Music superstars W&W. As it turned out, 2013 was David’s year of big opportunities and big risks. After delivering his track ‘Fire Away’ to W&W’s Mainstage Vol.1, David made sure it was quickly succeeded with a solo release: the club-destroying ‘Bulldozer’. Heavily supported by the industry’s elite (even rocking Armin van Buuren’s Essential Mix on BBC1 radio), the tune opened many exciting new doors for the young talent.

***Andy Ares***

We’re only halfway through 2014 and it’s already been a banner year for Toronto’s Andy Ares.

A slammed up debut at Miami’s Winter Music Conference? Check. Acclaimed appearances at Waterloo’s trendy Beta Nightclub? Check. Buzzed about opening slots before Jerome Isma-Ae, Simon Patterson and Dash Berlin? Check. One of the standout sets at the recent Electric Elements Festival on Wasaga Beach? Check.

ANDY_ARESThe list goes on. And as the dog days of the summer roll in, the sought-after trance hotshot shows no signs of slowing down.

But the gig that stands above them all is an exciting upcoming booking at Digital Dreams, where he will be sharing the main stage with such headlining international acts as Justice, Paul Oakenfold, Eric Prydz and Tiësto amongst others.

It’s been a quite a journey for the T.O. staple. I can testify to that. No kidding, I was there when Andy played his very first gig in 2006 at a house party with no more than 80 people. Now as he gears up to make a statement to over 80,000 people, I can only sit back and admire the ride.

He’s worked hard for it. The résumé speaks for itself. So consider this exclusive Northmix for THUMP just a prelude of all the bigger things to come.

At the core of Indie Dance and Deep House music, Swiss based Nora En Pure is on a quest to fulfil her need to arouse feelings of bliss and inject unconventional and serene sensations to be carried out into the world. The vivid South African, has already proven to be quite productive, what resulted in deep and funky works of audible engineering for the label Enormous Tunes and Tokenish since 2009. Besides her passion for Africa, only music has been able to steal her feelings to that extent leading her to dedicate more and more mind and soul to it. The melodic but mesmerising club music has been fashioning a big and an undoubtedly dedicated fanbase.

Her Remix for Daniel Portman’s KHAWERI in 2010 got huge reactions from all global players, became the preferential mix of the single and launched her career as aproducer. In 2011 her track You Make Me Float hit Top50 of Beatport charts, made the cut onto legendary Buddha Bar Compilation and got over 500k views on youtube. In fall 2012 she released AURELIA, which became a requested club hit and made it on various compilations. Her crossover chart hit Come With Me first saw lights in February 2013 and made its way up on top of Beatport charts, and remained in Top100 for over 7 months.
