Since 2011, Project: SPACES has been providing affordable workspace to many of Toronto’s most passionate, young entrepreneurs. What began as a simple desire to keep the lights on has since blossomed into a rapidly growing community of over 300 members (190 companies), ranging from technology, to the arts, and everything in between. They are consistently ranked among the top co-working shared spaces in Toronto and even named best in the city by Techvibes!
Nestled into the top 4th floor of a century-old building, above the Hoxton and Banknote (73 Bathurst Street, southeast corner of Bathurst and King St.), RHINO is 5200 square feet of raw brick and beam glory. Built in 1900, this space was originally home to the Canada Biscuit Company. Today over 100 entrepreneurs and freelancers call the space home.
The RHINO is made up of four rooms; two rooms of dedicated desks (which includes a conference room), a 1200 square foot lounge space with kitchen, foosball and beer on tap, as well as a small artist studio. The lounge is also an event space with wrap around bar, sound system and projector.
The OWL spans the top two floors of 20 Camden Street, a beautiful building just south of Queen and Spadina that was renovated in 2000 by local architecture firm Kohn Shnier. The space is perfect for artists, designers and other freelance creatives looking for that polished, agency vibe.
Project: OWL spans the entire second and third floors. The 7600 sq ft space is equipped with fiber internet, meeting rooms, presentation space, a lounge, two kitchens, a café and even a private shower.

By focusing only on the important things at both locations – 24/7 access, blazing-fast wifi and of course unlimited coffee – they are able to offer the most affordable rates in Toronto. They like to call it the “founder-friendly” approach to co-working. They also understand that being a successful entrepreneur goes way beyond desk space, which is why they are constantly developing new initiatives like a health plan, gym partnership, meal-delivery, seminar/workshops, and social/community/networking events.
Their simple pricing model:
Dedicated Desk ($350/month)
Dedicated Desk members get the royal treatment! Full-time desk, 24/7 access, fast wifi, lockable storage, printing, mailing address and meeting room time. Plus free access to all SPACES community events.
Lounge Membership – $200/month

*All members have access to shared amenities at any space.
Virtual Office – $30/month
