Forest Fires Can’t Even Stop Pemby Fest

Most of Mt. Currie was on fire literally and although the forest fires were persistent, the party is not stopping! The four day festival is dubbed one of Canada’s largest festivals. There’s something for everyone at Pemby Fest rather it be electronic, rock, heavy metal or hip-hop. Headliners like J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Tiesto, Hozier, Missy Elliot, De La Soul, Earl Sweatshirt, Jack U, and Skrillex are some of the artists to rock the five stages.

Imagine watching your favorites perform on stage with the backdrop of the mountains behind them. It’s all so picturesque. There’s even a water slide, a giant ball pit, and a comedy stage. What more do you need? There are limited premium and VIP tickets left and you probably should hop on that if you want your tickets ever.

Comedians like Reggie Watts, Eric Andre and Cheech and Chong are going to grace the Laugh Camps stage. This year there’s five stages Pemberton, Mt. Currie, Whistler, Bass Camp and Laugh Camp. Wednesday there even is a free concert open to the public at Olympic Plaza. Sam Roberts Band and Will Ross Band will rock the stage kicking off Pemby Fest. Think of them as the opening acts to all the festivities.

Thursday July 16th is when all the fun really begins. J. Cole is set to headline to the Pemby stage at 10:15pm. Everyone at the Mt. Currie stage will love the highlight of the day The War on Drugs and meanwhile G-Eazy will be headlining Bass Camp stage at 7:30pm. Get some sleep enjoy lots of food from the delicious vendors and get some sleep (if you can) because tomorrow the party starts all over again.

July 17th  The Black Keys is the highlight on The Pemby Stage at 8:30pm. Mt. Currie welcomes Kid Cudi at 7:15pm. Galatic and Macy Gray will bless the Whistler stage at 12:14am. An explosion of talent hits Bass Camp with Tiesto, Banks and Party Next Door partying until the sun comes up. The fifth stage Laugh Camp finally cranks out some laughter with Eric Andre performing at 6:30pm.

July 18th Earl Sweatshirt rocks Pemby at 1:30pm. Mt. Currie welcomes Weezer at 7:00pm. Bass Camp gets a little Ludacris at 8:45pm and Laugh Camp welcomes Reggie Watts at 7pm.

The final day will make you wish you didn’t have to go home. Missy Elliot and Kendrick Lamar rocks Pemby Stage starting at 8:15pm. Mt. Currie gets a little Hozier at 9:15pm and Bass Camp will be jam packed with people. A$AP Ferg, Zed’s Dead and Jack U will be hitting the stage back to back. You can count on laughs from Parks and Recreation’s Nick Offerman will be closing the Laugh Camp at 9:15pm. He’s going to have you in stitches.

Between the ball pit, the water slide, the food, the performances, and the summer camp vibe in the mountains you’re not going to want to go home after Pemby Fest.
