Parkdale’s Mata to Satisfy All Your Latin Cravings

Who doesn’t love a little fusion in their meals? At Mata Petisco Bar, located at the former Keriwa in Parkdale, 1690 Queen Street West, they do blends of Latin-American dishes, from sauces and dressings made from guavas and South American cheeses, drizzled over classic American burgers and ribs, to beef-cheek poutine with Cassava frites.

The interior mixes vintage with laid-back South American vibes to create a casual, but comfy dining space. The drinks are on par with its theme, serving unique cocktails with eccentric ingredients, such as lemongrass crystals in the Pisco Sour ($12), to hone in on the Latin elements of the restaurant.

If you’re looking for something daring and bold, check out Parkdale’s Mata, which has received overwhelming positive reviews since its recent opening earlier this year. It’s sure to be something different and especially tasty for those with a flair for flavours from below the equator.
