Love This City TV headed down to Movement Detroit Memorial Day long weekend, and being at the legendary festival meant we would have the chance to hear some of the world’s best Electronic music, and catch up with some of the brilliant and influential producers and DJ’s behind the music that inspires a festival like Movement to return each year bigger and better.
Being in Detroit where techno was born kept the energy and vibes inside Hart Plaza thriving all weekend and showcased exactly why Movement still remains as one of the top festivals in today’s booming electronic music scene. The gathering of the worlds best artists brought in the best from all corners of the world, and among that list was one of our weekend’s top choices from Beatport Stage- Berlin based techno leader Robert Dietz.
The beyond packed crowd that gathered at The Beatport Stage Sunday afternoon was just as excited as us to hear the debut Movement set from the Truth be Told label boss, and Love This City TV had the pleasure of talking to him before his set. We talked Movement, the scene in Germany, and what’s in store for the rest of 2015.
Love This City TV’s Interview with Robert Dietz:
Robert has had a busy year that has included launching his long awaited label Truth be Told earlier this year and playing at some of the biggest festivals and shows in the world. Since Movement he has kicked off his summer headlining at some of the most infamous venues like Stereo Montreal, Pacha Barcelona at Sonar playing alongside long time supporter Nic Fanciulli and has a busy season in Ibiza playing this past week at the legendary Space Ibiza with techno veteran Paul Ritch, and a return guest of Steve Lawler’s Viva Warriors residency at Sankey’s Ibiza. We are looking forward to seeing what’s in store for the rest of 2015 for Robert Dietz.
Check out his 4 Track EP -TBT001 which was his debut release on Truth Be Told earlier this year.
