Samsung Recruits Lil’Wayne to the Galaxy

We don’t know who is in charge of marketing over there at Samsung but their last couple of commercials have been hilarious. It’s obvious that this marketing is working because they’re actually selling more phones than they thought they would. All jokes and crazy marketing strategies aside the Samsung Galaxy S7 is probably one of the most innovative phones out right now. Between the vivid Amoled display, the larger battery (larger battery means longer lasting battery), and the water resistant capabilities (not waterproof) it’s a standout as far as flagship cellular devices. For whatever reason though these guys have a powerhouse marketing company and one of their trending commercials right now on Youtube is the Champagne Calls bit starring rapper Lil’Wayne.

The commercial stars Wayne pouring champagne all over his S7 and then putting it in a fish tank. They even throw a little shade at Apple when Wayne watches his friend Max pour champagne on his phone and it sparks. This commercial is reminiscent of the “What’s Up?” catchy Budweiser commercial from back in the day. The video has been trending on Youtube since it dropped.  You know what’s better than watching a funny video on Youtube? Reading the Youtube comments. We gathered our favorite seven.

Someone watched the commercial so many times they noticed the obvious continuity issue.

"Max your phone can't do that."
“Max your phone can’t do that.”
"And another one..."
“And another one…”
For the record it's not waterproof (it's water resistance) and pouring champagne on it isn't recommended.

Yeah these premium phones come at a premium price so we see maybe the Rich Kids of Instagram buying them to pour champagne on.

Someone stating the obvious about why is he pouring champagne on his phone when he could use a glass?

"Champagne on my phone, call that drunk texting!" -- We could see Wayne dropping bars like this.
