If you grew up in Ontario then I’m sure you hear this slogan every year—whether it be on the radio, TV, or on billboards. The Ex, aka the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) will be returning to The Exhibition Place from August 15 – September 1. It is one of Canada’s longest standing traditions and 2014 will be its 136th year. Over the 18-day period, the exhibition will draw in over 1 million visitors.

Each day holds a different adventure at The Ex and there’s always something for everyone! The Ex has an area dedicated to food stands, so you can try dishes from multiple vendors. If you prefer a restaurant, there are a few different ones on site. Let’s not forget the food trucks or the annual Ribfest, which takes place everyday, except Mondays, at the Bandshell.

If you’re not in it for the food, there’s also tons of live entertainment planned for each day. The acrobat show, air show, and pyrotechnics spectacle are just a few of several things you can enjoy at The Ex. There will also be international performers showcasing different types of ethnic dance. Of course, we can’t forget the Canadian talent out there! Down with Webster, Eleven Past One, and These Kids Wear Crowns are just a few of the many Canadian performers at the Bandshell.

For the shopaholic, there are a variety of independently owned and corporate vendors on location. Clothes, jewelry, houseware and electronics – you’ll find it all here. Prefer to do something else with your cash? Try your luck out at the casino or try to win a prize at the games! There are also a ton of rides for kids and adults, plus a zip line!

Come out and enjoy the tradition with your family, friends, or significant other!
