Join Jason Aldean for a night of country fun on Thursday, August 28th at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. That is, if it isn’t already sold out.
From between $15 to $115 a pop, fans can take part in Aldean’s 2014 Burn It Down tour. The event also features country music sensations Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr.
Concert-goers can set their expectations high for Aldean’s performance. Which singles of his haven’t made it out on top? “Big Green Tractor” spent four weeks on the top of the music charts in 2009. “Don’t You Wanna Stay” in 2010 were some of the biggest sales numbers of his career to date. His 2010 album, My Kinda Party, landed him a CMT Music Award.

Aldean’s success hasn’t come close to running out. In three short weeks, Aldean’s new hit single, “Burnin’ It Down”, peaked to the top selling single overall. A shift from his traditional country vibe, “Burnin’ It Down” is a sensual ballad of the modern country sub-genre that has been well-received from fans. As a result of his success, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has named Aldean as the Top Male Country Artist in their history.
“On behalf of myself and my RIAA colleagues, we are delighted to recognize Jason Aldean for this prestigious honor,” said RIAA Chairman and CEO Cary Sherman. “We congratulate…Jason on this singular achievement and look forward to many more years of great country music to come.”
Aldean couldn’t be more thankful for his success.
“This is such a huge honor, and one that everyone on my team earned together,” said Jason. “I love country music, and I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else…there was never a Plan B for me. I can’t thank the RIAA or country music fans enough for helping us get to this level…it’s unbelievable!”
He’s not kidding. Country music truly was what the all-American performer was born for. During his summers as a young boy, his father would map out guitar chords on paper to show him the basics of guitar playing. After practicing endlessly, his hidden talent for music began to shine. He soon could play songs by ear. After watching the Country Music Television Awards at age 14, he knew he wanted to perform. Country favourites such as “The Cowboy Rides Away” by George Strait and “My Home’s in Alabama” by Alabama influenced his love for the country sound. The same passion for music lies in Aldean today and can be promised at his tour.
Get yourself to the Molson Amphitheatre, have a cold one and enjoy a heartfelt concert by one of the most promising names in country music to date. That’s my kinda party.
