Cosplayers, grab your wigs, put on your pleather and pull up those fishnets—the HEROES FEST is near.
Your Woodbridge Heroes, bringers of the toys, comics and collectible items that fulfil your geeky pleasure, are hosting the event just for you.
Come support Autism Ontario and the Vaughan Food Bank (on August 16th and 17th) with a room full of the greatest superstars in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
The list of confirmed UFC and WWE stars and guests is endless. It comprises Ken Shamrock, Wanderlei Silva, Rashad Evans, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Koko B Ware. Between them they hold huge titles that include: UFC Hall of Famer, First ever UFC Super-fight World Heavyweight Champion of the World, Former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion and one of the biggest stars in the 1980’s in the WWF.
Boxing Legend, George Chuvalo (former Canadian World Heavyweight Champion of the World, who has also fought the Legend Muhammad Ali twice) will be there too.
If that isn’t enough, your heroes are bringing you Lou Ferrigno (yes, as in ‘The Incredible Hulk”), Jason David Frank (“Go go Power Rangers!”), The ROCK (a.k.a “Hercules”), Hugh Jackman (a.k.a “Wolverine”) and Patrick Stewart (a.k.a “Professor X”). That’s not all…the original cast members from the Star Wars movie will also be in attendance.
Once you get over your star-struck-ness (oops, we forgot to mention that Joey DeSimone will be there), you can enjoy some of the events planned for the weekend:
Carnival, Exotic Petting Zoo, DJ Competition, XTS Car and Bike Show, Variety of movie cars (Batmobile, Transformers, including Bumblebee etc.) and the Vaughan Fire and Rescue Service Truck.
The event is also offering over $3000 in prizes in multiple contests.
Tickets are only $10, but if you come in full recognizable cosplay, admission is free!
Will you bring it?
