Platform, Embrace, and Coda have come together yet again for the 3rd year of Electric Island and if you have been to the magical concert series in the past you know this is one of Toronto’s influential events not only of the summer but of the entire year. House & techno lovers flock to Toronto Island for a gathering of familiar faces, underground music at its finest, and a atmosphere where nature and the view of our beautiful city takes our breath away each and every time we embark on the festivities EI has to offer. Food, drinks, socializing, dancing and of course music from the world’s best DJ’s fulfill our day on the Island and this year it will be nothing short of the best year yet. Last year Electric Island welcomed names like Sven Väth, Mano Le Tough, Daniel Avery, Dixon, Martinez Brothers, Henrick Schwarz, DJ Tennis, Maya Jane Coles, Bob Moses, My Favourite Robot, Tale Of Us, Jamie XX and Hot Since 82 along with Toronto’s favourite local talents.
Electric Island just released the full line-up of the season and I think it’s safe to say this year will be bigger and better than ever: Adam Beyer, Art Department, Dennis Ferrer, Green Velvet, Lee Burridge, Lee Foss, Loco Dice, Pan-Pot, Recondite, Sasha, Shiba San, Steve Lawler, Tale of Us, Ten Walls, Tom Trago, Tuskegee (Seth Troxler & The Martinez Brothers). I think that line-up is pretty self explanatory for what we can expect this summer!
Electric Island will be taking place May 18th, July 1st, August 4th and September 1st and this year they have brought in a special treat for all the avid party goers who know this is a festival not to be missed. Season Passes will be available for $99 which entitles you to entrance to each of the events without having to worry about last minute ticket purchases and of course you will be saving from buying each ticket individually.
We are looking forward to the season opener of Electric Island which has been a favourite festival of Love This City TV from the very beginning. We will see you all May 19th!
