If you’re looking for a memorable way to celebrate the upcoming long weekend, make your way over to Toronto’s harbour front, where the ferry will whisk you away to a destination like no other. You’ll enjoy a day of good food, good music, and good company, all while overlooking the waterfront and Toronto’s skyline (which is gorgeous at night!) Civic long weekend will be the third instalment of this year’s Electric Island Concert + Picnic series.
Electric Island Toronto invites performers from all over the world to showcase their talent. On Monday, August 4, jam out with American DJ Seth Troxler and British DJ Maya Jane Coles. The line up also includes Canadians Bob Moses, My Favorite Robot, as well as Nitin, Koki, and many more.
It’s a Concert + Picnic series, so we can’t forget about the food! We’ve got food trucks from Gourmet Bitches, Sliced, and Bacon Nation on site. Gourmet Bitches has a menu from tacos, to waffles, to nachos and cheese. Enjoy a sandwich made to perfection with Sliced or enjoy bacon in the strangest combinations with Bacon Nation.
If you haven’t had a chance to experience vanGrey’s miniPong then you’re missing out! vanGrey is mobile and can set up a social playzone anywhere to get people chatting. Look out for the mini ping-pong tables at Electric Island. You won’t be able to miss them at night when they glow in the dark!
Heading to the islands is a great way to escape the pressure of the big city without actually having to leave. The music is great, the food is exceptional, the view is breathtaking, and you’ll find yourself in the comfort of good company. Everyone is friendly and relaxed and just wants to have a good time.
The event runs from 1:30pm – 10:30pm. Keep in mind that the concert area is 19+ with a cash bar. Tickets are from $35+. For more information and tickets, head over to www.electricisland.to.
