What started out as a hobby for a boy named Jeffrey Allen Townes, or famously known today as DJ Jazzy Jeff, turned out to be his promising career after all, that made him rich, successful and very happy today. He never thought that a simple pumping out of Mixtapes from his bedroom and being a school or block party DJ way back then, which was all for fun, is already the beginning of his promising career. Truly a fairy tale story it may seem, but would you believe, he grew up with a not well-off family in Philadelphia. He was born on January 22, 1965, and growing up, he has developed a good reputation of being a talented DJ. He took the stage name DJ Jazzy Jeff, which was even made known to people from all over the world, when he was one of the hip hop duo in the “DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince”, along with the ever famous and respected actor, Will Smith.
He’s not just a DJ
Since then, his career has grown up from being a DJ to a television actor. When Will Smith branched out into television shows with the very famous sitcom back then known as, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, DJ Jazzy Jeff was also called up to play as a recurring character whose name is Jazz, who played as Smith’s best friend.
DJ Jazzy Jeff, moreover, has also been into record producing. He has already made record albums that have been very famous from all over the world. It has even reached the Grammys, making DJ Jazzy Jeff as the very first receiver of the first Grammy rap award for the album “Parents Just Don’t Understand”.

From his humble beginnings, it all boils down to DJ Jazzy Jeff not giving up on what he loves. Even if it takes to fight against all odds, what he loves will always be what he loves.
