Celebrate Giving Back in The Six

One thing about Toronto is when possible people show out to give back. There’s not a lack of events to feel good while having fun in the name of helping out many needy organizations in Toronto. This month there’s quite a few events to help you help someone else.

Straighten Up and Move Spin Fundraiser | October 3 – CLAY Canada [Tickets]

This one is fun for people who enjoy working out. If you don’t like working out this won’t be your cup of tea. Spinning has become an exercise phenomenon and in celebration of World Spine Day, CLAY Canada and Total Health and Family Care Centre teamed up to encourage individuals to straighten up and move. Spinal disorders are the leading causes of disability in the world. All proceeds go to World Spine Care to help the world straighten up just a little bit more.

The Great Gatsby Gala in Toronto | October 15 – Todmoren Mills Heritage Museum [Tickets]

Celebrate the style and elegance of The Jazz Age and help the East End Children’s Centre celebrate thirty years to commitment to children. The event includes live entertainment, food, cocktails, a silent auction and all things glitz.

Trivia at the Revue: Halloween Edition | October 19th – Revue Cinema [Tickets]

Come dressed in your creepy, spooky and kooky and engage in the “creepiest trivia in town.” If you know your stuff this definitely a good time. The grand prize is $100 and eight free movie passes for you and your team. All proceeds from this event support the community run cinema.

Mad about Margaret’s 2016 | October 21 – Regent Park Arts and Culture Centre [Tickets]

Dubbed Toronto’s Social Event of the year Mad about Margaret’s is an elegant affair. In its fifth year it aims to improve mental health for all Canadians. This year the host is Mary Ito from CBC’s Fresh Air. Also enjoy this year’s keynote Mary Walsh who is best known for her work on This Hour Has 22 Minutes. This gala includes a silent auction, a full course dinner and drinks. It’s the priciest on the list but if you can afford to attend, it’s a great time.
