Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa combine hip-hop and pop rock for one heck of a tour. June 17th the Boyz of Zummer tour is making its way to Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa are bringing Hoodie Allen and DJ Drama with them. The tour isn’t a concert, think of it as a memorable experience. Both Fall Out Boy and Wiz Khalifa leave everything on the stage with every performance.
Even if you’ve never heard of Fall Out Boy, you’ve heard their music. They were popular in the mid 2000s for their “emo pop” style and after six year hiatus they’ve come back strong. It was almost like they never disappeared. Currently the band is promoting their sixth album “American Beauty/American Psycho.” The album brought hits such as the 2x platinum “Centuries” and “Uma Thurman.” They also dropped “Immortal” from last year’s “Big Hero 6.” Fall Out Boy is hot and no matter how long they disappear, they’ll always be relevant.
Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa is a legend to his city. He signed with Warner Brothers a year after releasing his album “Show and Prove.” With hits like “Say Yeah,” and Steelers’ athem “Black and Yellow,” there was no denying that Wiz Khalifa was here to stay. He’s currently heating up the charts with his single “See You Again” featuring Charlie Puth. The track is from the soundtrack to the wildly successful Fast and Furious 7. Wiz may be short and skinny but when he’s on stage he brings all sorts of energy. DJ Drama and Hoodie Allen will also be performing.
Expect quite the energy from the performers and the crowd and remember this isn’t a concert this is an experience. The show starts at 7pm and tickets are still available here. You’ll definitely remember this experience for “Centuries.”
