The rapper is rounding up his Dreamville team and bringing them to Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. The concert is a part of Drake’s OVO Fest festivities and you’re not going to want to miss this. The Smashing Pumpkins

August 4 — Molson Canadian Amphitheatre
The Smashing Pumpkins sure know how to rock a crowd. Not that they need any practice because these guys have been performing since 1988. They may have taken a break in 2000 to regroup but that only lasted for six years. They’re currently touring promoting their Monuments to an Elegy album that dropped in December. You’ll want to watch them rock out and you’ll enjoy every second of it.
Ariana Grande

August 9 — Air Canada Centre
Ariana Grande may be tiny but this former Nickelodeon star has a big voice and once she hits the stage she commands you to pay attention to her. She’s currently on her Honeymoon Tour and it’s full of cat ear ensembles and she floats on everything from a cloud to a chandelier. She’s currently promoting her latest album My Everything. The album is part of the reason Grande had the most top ten singles in all of 2014. Fall in love with Grande and spend a night out on her Honeymoon Tour. Your ears will most definitely thank you.
Miguel

August 11 –Sound Academy
Miguel is known for his sultry and smooth voice and although he’s only had one underperformed album, you don’t want to sleep on him. He’s had hits like “How Many Drinks,” and “All I Want Is You.” Not to mention this guy has been featured on every other song now a days. This concert is definitely a date night type of vibe or good for a girl’s night out. Either way grab your friends and grab your tickets and fall in love with the smooth laid-back vibes of Miguel.

Think of the summer concert series as a thank you from the wonderful people at The Edge. Thousands of people show up to rock out with their epic lineup every year. This year is no different. Expect Echo Beach to be a rock explosion. Don’t expect to have a voice the next day. July 23rd Milky Chance, Elle King and the X-Ambassdors hit the main stage. If you’re too busy that day and you can’t make it to the festivities, catch the pictures on Instagram and nab tickets for the July 29th concert. Incubus, Deftones and the Bots are heating up the stage. The last chance to get in on all the Edgefest festivities is August 15th and after that you have to wait until next summer which isn’t any fun. August 15 Mother Mother, Kongos, and Scott Helman are ending the 2015 series. Expect lots of pictures, food and festivities. Stay tuned to Love This City for all things Edgefest!
Earl Sweatshirt

August 16 – The Phoenix Concert Theatre
Earl Sweatshirt is mostly known for his association with Odd Future. The 21 year old has quite the back story and quite the following. It’s funny that after he released his first mixtape his mother sent him to boarding school and he was supposed to stay there until he was 21 but the world heard his first album Doris and he couldn’t deprive the people of what the wanted. His latest release “I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside: An Album By Earl Sweatshirt” was met with praises by his fans. He’s currently touring with Remy Banks and Vince Staples and you can catch the three of them at The Phoenix Concert Theatre for quite the artistic experience.

August 20 – Rogers Centre
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, you know who One Direction is. If you’re not fan of One Direction you probably know a teenage girl who is. The boy band is bringing their On the Road Tour to Rogers Centre on August 20th. Expect the show to be jam packed and expect very loud screaming from girls who will go home and dream about them that night. The boys are promoting their fourth album Four. The reception of Four earned One Direction quite the bragging rights as they are the first band in the United States to have their first four albums debut at number one. The third one Midnight Memories was the biggest selling album worldwide in 2013. So you can see why if you want tickets, you better hop on it! They’re kind of a big deal.
Becky G

August 23 – Molson Canadian Amphiteatre
Becky G was discovered on Youtube and after remixing song after song she eventually caught the ears of people who really wanted to listen.
