Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean that you have to go into hibernation until Spring. Toronto has quite a few things you can do with friends or a significant other.
Go Skating
Toronto doesn’t have a shortage of ice skating rinks. Pick one and grab a friend or two and enjoy a day hitting the rink. If you don’t know how to ice skate there’s no better time to learn! If you don’t have any skates, you don’t have a problem because most rinks will rent them to you!
Rent an Airbnb
Rent an Airbnb somewhere cozy with your friends or your significant other. Who knows where your staycation will take you. Toronto has some pretty cool Airbnb’s that will make you feel like you’re enjoying a getaway. For a little Airbnb inspo’ check out our post about it!
Indoor Archery (Archer’s Arena)
Archer’s Arena is a 10,00 square ft indoor archery arena that allows two teams to go head to get in different playing fields with different styles so each time feels like a different game. Their arenas accommodates groups of 8 to 50. One thing there’s no shortage of here is fun!
Enjoy Winterlicious
Winterlicious is the annual Toronto Winter food festival that gives you great deals on great Toronto food. It usually happens around the last week in January. Think of it as a party for your taste buds. It’s like the big sister to Summerlicious! For more info on all things Winterlicous do check out their Facebook page.
Save Room for La Poutine Week
La Poutine Week is usually the first week in February and it celebrates all things poutine and challenges restaurants in Toronto to make their own poutine dishes for $10. For all things La Poutine Week stay updated by checking for announcements on their official website.
Watch Some Hockey
This is a no brainer! Hockey is life! Rather you go to a friend’s house, one of the many local breweries or at the arena, check out Maple Leafs on the ice and make it into a social outing. Good old fashioned sports are known for bringing people together.
This is just six awesome things to do in the winter to keep yourself from catching cabin fever. What are you favorite winter things to do?
