Electric Daisy Carnival New York

On May 19, 2013, the Electric Daisy Carnival was hosted in New York, attracting thousands of ravers and party goers alike to take part in its festivities. Lights were everywhere, the music was thrumming through everyone’s veins, and everyone had little to no clothing on. The line up for the DJ’s was insane– ranging from Calvin Harris, the Bloody Beetroots to Borgore, and Feed Me.

Everyone came over, down for business and pre party’d up, ready to lose themselves to the night. Music festivals are mostly a cornucopia of the bass not leaving your system until the next day, and being prepared to lose your hearing for the rest of it. The Electric Daisy Carnival in New York is no different. The place was packed with people from all parts of the nation, more than ready for the night ahead.

Lights bled through the stage in every neon color, the music was playing loud enough to be heard one country over, and everything was like a dream. There were people left and right, screaming and dancing along, half naked women tossing their hair back and forth. There were even free water refills because, kidding aside, you will need to keep hydrated.

Apart from the water, there were burger stands and various food stands at the venue. The food stands, unfortunately, do not get a five out of five like the actual event, so it was best to eat before arriving at the carnival. Even if the event was pretty much cut off early due to heavy rains and weather, many were satisfied with the experience, especially Electric Daisy Carnival virgins, now out and ready for a whole lot more.

It is best to come to festivals like these with people who are open or more on the liberal side since there are skimpy outfits as far as the eye can see, and the environment is not exactly incongruous with the holy places where people perform baptisms and write poems about purity. The best way to enjoy the Electric Daisy Carnival is to bring friends who will get it. They have to be able to understand what this place is about, what to expect, so they won’t go bugging you about the scene once you step on it. And if you have ever been to an Electric Daisy Carnival, or just music festivals and concerts in general, you will know that the one thing you can be sure of is you are not going to be able to have a decent conversation in there. The whole point of these events is to let loose and leave inhibitions and intellectually at home for a change, get it back in your pocket when school or work rolls around.

If you have never been to a music festival, or even if you do not know what it is or what it is about, you should still make Electric Daisy Carnival your first. This is the ultimate experience, something that you will be bragging about to your friends because they should have been there with you!
