A HUEVO! Mexican Pop Up Brunch

Building on the success of the first Mexican brunch he hosted back in March, Alexander Stanojevic is hosting another Mexican brunch this Sunday, August 10th, located at the Atlantic on Dundas (1597 Dundas St. at Dufferin). A HUEVO Mexican Pop Up Brunch is scheduled to start at 12 noon and last until 6 p.m., giving patrons a full six hours to enjoy the Mexican inspired delights featured at the taco pop up kitchen and cocktail bar.

For the first brunch he hosted, Stanojevic created a $35, three-course prix fix menu with cocktails mixed by Stanojevic himself. This time, it would seem that Stanojevic decided to change things up a little, and attendees will be happy to discover that this change is for the better. This Sunday, A HUEVA will treat patrons to a variety of meals that are offered at only $5 each and mixologist Stanojevic will, once again, use his masterful skills to create the best cocktails available.

The aptly named meals provided in the menu will include the following:

“As Greedy As A Pig”—Ancho braised pulled pork with grilled pineapple, salsa verde, homemade queso fresco and serrano chile crema

“You Guys Made Me Ink”—Beer Battered Calamari with Squid Ink chipotle crema, lime rind, cayenne pepper, jalapeños, pickled and fresh veggies

“Cartel’s Blood Taco” (Veggie Option)—Beer battered avocado, red beet salsa, serrano chile crema, cayenne pepper, homemade queso fresco, pickled and fresh veggies, and jalapeños

Drinks will be priced at $9 and the cocktail menu will feature the El Border Crawler—a twist on the classic Porchcrawler,
the Tromba Tequila Blanco (Grapefruit lemonade, Lime juice, Lemon FICKS, Cane Sugar Syrup, topped with Tecate lager) and the Tecate on it’s own, which is priced seperately at $6.

Stanojevic also goes further, incorporating Toronto based clothing vendors, NOZO Toronto and independent designer Austin G. Chan, in his event. With all that is expected, this Mexican brunch sounds more like a fiesta! Be sure not to miss it!
