Music, art, fun, and dancing. Sounds like the perfect formula to take the edge off, don’t you think? Where to find all of these components, you ask? Look no further because the Glow and Paint event is all you are going to need for the 15th of June at the Guvernment, located at 132 Queens Quay East, Toronto, Ontario M5A 3Y5.
For those of you who have been living under a rock with no WiFi, the Glow and Paint event is a free themed party where people glow, not just from the inside but also on the outside. Literally. If you come wearing one of the Glow or Paint wristbands, you are granted free access to the party and your name on the guest list before 1 in the morning.
Why should you find yourself at the Glow and Paint event on a Saturday night? The real question here is why not. Not only will you be losing yourself to the beats of Mark Oliver, Deko-ze, Mark and Strong, and Joe Ghost, you will be in the company of fellow party goers donned in neon colored outfits to accompany the mood.
What to make sure you have with you when you go to this party, and pretty much any party in the matter is, number one; knowledge of the dress attire. Parties like this advise most guests to not take themselves too seriously. It is a place to let loose and let your hair down, and in the name of the event itself, why not get into the spirit of things and go all out. Bust out that tired old aerobics neon tight you wore in ’94. Who knows? You might meet someone there wearing the same outfit, you can get a little “Who wore it better” contest going on.
Make sure you have your essentials with you in a tight, impenetrable, and very cheap looking bag.
This means your cell phone, money, camera, so on and so forth. You are going to want to bring that camera, by the way. Take as many pictures as that memory card will allow you.
Secondly, be with your people. Bring your friends, your best friend, your aunty, your mommy, tell them all what is going to go down on the 15th of June! A big group of friends means a bigger round of drinks, so get your wallets ready. Or for the ladies, make sure to bat those eyelashes with extra gusto since most of this event is going to happen in the dark. Are you ramped up yet? You probably are. It would be a good idea to clear out your Saturday schedule and pencil this is. You are very welcome.
