One of the best things about cooler weather is enjoying hot tea at a cool tea house. Coffee is great but it’s tea that’s truly underrated. Toronto has quite a variety of tea houses and we rounded up some of our favorites.
Plentea Tea Bar
This tea house is known for customizing your tea experience. Rather it’s hot or tea, fancy or simple, they have a tea for you. This place is sure to relax you and give you the tea house experience you deserve. Regulars recommend the Thai Dragon or their Chai Latte.
Kitten and the Bear
This small intimate tea house is so relaxing that you almost don’t want to leave. There’s a variety of awesome teas to check out along with their scones and jams. Their signature namesake tea is a black tea with hints of vanilla and it’ll make you come back for more every time.
Tsaa Teahouse
Established in 2009, Tsaa Tea Shop is known for their organic coffee and loose leaf tea. Some favors are the Ginger and the Sweet Temptation Tea. You can never go wrong with a chai tea. They also have an electric fireplace where you can sit near and sip your tea.
Infuse Cafe & Bar
This place offers beverages and board games and we’re totally sold. Rather you want your tea hot or cold, bitter or sweet, they’re out to turn you into tea lover (if you’re not one already).
Light Cafe
Light Cafe is heavy in gourmet teas like choco-mint and matcha au lait as flavors. The decor is inviting and the desserts will keep you sitting here forever (not forever but a long time). People also make noise about their waffles here so you may want to try those out.
Crimson Teas
People rave about the artwork in Crimson Teas tea house but people stay for the passion that the baristas put into each cup. Most people love their milk tea. You can give it a sample for before buying it. Whatever your selection, we’re certain you’ll find something to love at Crimson Teas.
Rather you drink yours hot or cold, tea lovers can agree to love the sophistication and or simple flavors. Toronto has no shortage of awesome, quaint tea houses. Hopefully, we just helped you find your new favorite.
