Nathan Phillips Square has become the center of the city. It’s a hot spot on Instagram and tourists and locals can’t help to gather there. A lot of it has to do with the ever so popular Official Toronto sign lighting up the square on a daily basis. The sign’s lights may change colors to coincide with different causes but for the first time in a while, the sign got an actual facelift.

The City of Toronto wrapped the sign in 11 different Indigenous symbols in an effort to honor the Indigenous Communities in Canada. There’s even a little bit of information on what each of the eleven symbols means. If you haven’t checked out the newly decorated sign yet, you have until fall to do it! Don’t procrastinate though it’s worth taking a look. No matter what the sign is wrapped in, it’s always breathtaking to look at. Some people hate the Toronto sign and some people love it but without a doubt, there’s no arguing that the sign draws eyes from far and near. What’s your take on the newly wrapped Nathan Phillips Toronto sign?
