July is synonymous with barbecues, music festivals, pools, and great concerts. Toronto has no shortage of concerts especially this month. The weather will not be the only hot thing in Toronto come July.
Electric Island: Canada Day
July 1 | Port Lands (Tickets)
A lot of rain didn’t stop the party known as Electric Island instead it just moved it a bit. The summer series is gearing up to celebrate Canada Day and we can’t wait. Headliners include Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex, Recondite, Roman Flugel, and Chaim. Enjoy great music, with good friends and one huge party all in celebration of Canada.
Alessia Cara
July 2 | Colosseum at Caesars Windsor (Tickets)
Technically this isn’t Toronto but it’s worth traveling to hear Alessia’s voice wherever she performs. Her range alone is proof that she needs no gimmicks. She has hits like “Stay” and “Scars” and this Canadian song bird is worth every penny for every ticket.
Bud Light Dreams Music Festival
July 7-8 | Echo Beach (Tickets)
Bud Light Dreams Festival is from the same folks that bring you Veld and it isn’t just a festival it’s an epic experience! Festival goers will gather to jam out to over a dozen bands including headliners like Above & Beyond, Dillstradamus, DVBBS, and Steve Angello! This is definitely top three when it comes down to festivals.
Ed Sheeran
July 7 | Air Canada Centre (Tickets)
Everyone’s favorite redhead is coming to Toronto to perform. He’s wormed his way into fans hearts with hit after hit. Currently he’s touring promoting his latest album Divide. There’s no divide when it comes to loving his music. The man can sing!
Jill Scott
July 18 | Massey Hall (Tickets)
She doesn’t have three Grammy Awards for nothing! Jilly from Philly is coming to The Six and we’re sure it’s going to attract quite the crowd. Rather you’re a fan or you’re trying to impress a date, this is the concert to go to.
Kendrick Lamar
July 25 | Air Canada Centre (Tickets)
Be humble, sit down! Some might consider Kendrick Lamar a legend and we’re one of those people. Kendrick is bringing Travis Scott and D.R.A.M with him. We’re sure it’s not only going to be a concert it’s going to be a party!
J. Cole
July 28 | Air Canada Centre (Tickets)
J. Cole believes in quality not quantity and every time he drops a project it’s worth the wait. Last year he surprised fans with 4 Your Eyez Only and we’re still reeling from it.
We only rounded up seven concerts but we’re sure we missed a few. What concert or festival are you looking forward to in July? Leave it in the comments below.
