What is Berkeley Tuesdays?
Berkeley Tuesdays brings professionals from around the GTA to come together and support startups and entrepreneurs as well as promoting Toronto’s creative industry. It provides a platform for sponsors to increase brand awareness and provides businesses and sponsors the opportunity to connect with their audience through meaningful social media campaigns and interactions. We provide an opportunity to meet new people from different industries, discover and interact with social media in unique ways and sharing inspiring stories and experiences.
Every mixer will feature one seasoned or upcoming Toronto talent in each field of the creative industry – namely fashion, tech, television, music, and digital communications to start! By bringing together by professionals from different industries, our live and online audiences get a unique experience and a new form of entertainment. Our featured guests as well as sponsors and attendees will benefit from this large platform for the creative industry to share their contributions and passions to a live and online audience in a two hour broadcast on Facebook Live.
Berkeley Tuesdays will be turning Toronto’s professional mixers on its head. Designed to integrate the creative industries with other fields of business, it is a large-scale professional mixer and live-streamed TV show for business owners, startups and entrepreneurs of creative blood. The first of its kind, Berkley Tuesdays will showcase special guests and their creations from different areas of the creative realm all under one roof. It is the new way of the professional mixer, with trade show-like demonstrations and live production in a more intimate and interactive setting.

Red Carpet Entrance
In the era of imagery, no creative mixer would be complete without proper photo-ops! Look and feel as fabulous as a celebrity – take photos on the red carpet and at our elegant french venue with our professional photographer and Monocle Booth.
Meet the Fashion Designer
This mixer will feature one of Toronto’s top fashion designers, and adorned models will mix and mingle with guests, giving them a rare opportunity to experience an interactive fashion show. Chat and take photos with the models and learn the inspirations behind the clothing from the featured fashion designers themselves!
Fashion Show
A collaboration of fashion designers, pageant contestants and modelling academies. We’ll have models wearing outfits by Wear Me Mr. Lexx, Mr and Miss Asia Canada contestants and Retune Modelling Academy ladies walking through the beautiful french venue from the second floor, down the elegant stairwell and ending off in the patio on the red carpet with an exotic car. A perfect photo opportunity for all of our attendees!
Interactive Technology
A unique tech company will offer the crowd an interactive experience with cutting-edge technologies at each mixer. What better way to know if a new piece of technology can improve your business than trying it out yourself?
5 to 7pm | Mingling and Networking
With an audience of business owners, entrepreneurs and creatives in various industries provides a space for unique space for conversations and business opportunities. Dining area, indoor and outdoor bar are available for attendees to trade knowledge and create new connections. Free hors d’oeuvres will be served.
7 to 8pm | Facebook Live Broadcast and Talk Show Live Social Media News
With three seasons on DTV, YouTube and Facebook accumulated over the past 4 months, Live Social Media News hosted by Eamonn MacNeish and Rebecca Nobrega, will take our online audiences on a tour, interviewing our featured talents and business professionals with hard-hitting questions that the viewers want to know. We ask them about what inspired them, their ambitions and what advice they can offer to others as well as bringing out their personality to that our viewers can connect with them on social media. We finish off with a live musical performance that promotes a local talent from Toronto. Structured as a television talk show, our hosts will integrate effective marketing with ad drops, product placement and commercial breaks for our sponsors.

8 to 9pm | Facebook Live Broadcast with Audience Participation
After the show, we will have a Q&A session from our attendees with our interviewed guests. We encourage our attendees to ask any question that would benefit them and our audience. Social media promotional campaigns and interactions MC’d by our host for our Silver/Gold/Platinum Sponsors and a live feed of the event for our viewers. One such example is capturing the moment the musician finishes their performance and after the applause having our host thank the musician and encouraging everyone to pull out their phones to like their Facebook page to support the artist on social media. We will integrate unique social media campaigns to create brand awareness for all of our sponsors.

9 to 10pm | Mingling and Networking
This is the final opportunity for our guests to connect with others. On top of exchanging business cards, we highly encourage our attendees to connect via LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. Also, we will give our attendees the opportunity to learn more about DTV, Distractional Productions, Distractional Agency and Distractional Media as they can meet and talk to Team Distractional after the broadcast. We will be bringing our studio’s tricaster system and cameras performing live editing on location in the same room as our show so our attendees can see a full-on TV production for themselves.
