Digital Dreams Festival 2016!
A weekend we will not forget.
Digital Dreams 2016 just took place this past weekend at The Flats in Ontario Place and it was nothing short of EPIC! It’s one of the biggest electronic music festivals in Canada and always brings out some of the best DJ’s from around the world. This was another amazing year for the festival…three stages, incredible lineups of DJ’s, delicious food, and amazing times. The sun was out and shining all weekend and the weather was stunning through the night; absolutely perfect for raving all day. Lovethiscitytv were one of the chosen media outlets attending Digital Dreams and we were able to get access to some exclusive interviews and awesome pictures of the festival.
You can feel the love and energy the second you step beyond the gates arriving at Digital Dreams music festival. It’s a place where you can be whoever you want, fully express yourself, and just let go. Every year the crowd that attends digital dreams wear the coolest outfits and make the atmosphere as awesome as it is. This year was definitely no different from the rest, the energy was at an all-time high and the festival had a huge turn-out with thousands of people…the most I’ve seen yet.
Day One was unreal. With epic sets from the time the festival started until it ended. The main stage lineup on day one included:
Each set had its very own unique sound, style, and lightshow. Every single stage had different styles as well, so there was something for everyone. Above & Beyond were the closing act on the main-stage for day one and absolutely shut it down.
On Day One at digital dreams I also had the pleasure to interview two awesome DJ’s at the event. I interviewed DJ Giddy who opened up for Echo Beach, and DJ’s chocolate Puma who performed on the main-stage during the day. Our exclusive interviews with these DJ’s will be up soon!
Day Two was also unforgettable. Absolutely amazing lineup of DJ’s:
Axwell ^Ingrosso, former Swedish House Mafia members were the second last act to close the main stage and they KILLED it. Playing old tracks from their SHM days to some of their new tracks together. Their amazing energy, lightshow, and tracks kept the crowd hyped before the last set. Armin Van Buuren closed the festival at the main stage and Umek closed at the Bacardi tent. All of the sets from Digital Dreams this year were insane!
Special shout out’s to all the people that worked hard to make Digital Dreams happen this year, from behind the scenes, to the medical personnel, security, food trucks, and people who attended. There was so much love all around.
