Monster Energy’s Center of Gravity Festival started in 2007 as a Volleyfest with beach volleyball and music and now it’s a three day adrenaline beach festival with sports, food and all the hottest live music anyone could ask for. From August 19-21 you’re going to want to be at Wasaga Beach and you’re not going to want to miss a thing! We don’t know if we’re more excited for the music or the extreme sports. This year’s headliners include Tiesto, Ice Cube, Hardwell, and TY Dolla Sign. It sounds insane to us too! But if jamming to some of the hottest acts on the beach isn’t enough to catch your attention, you’re going to want to check out the sports action.
Some of the awesome sports zones include Moto Zone. Moto Zone features top FMX riders doing extreme tricks on motorcycles. The Water Zone is making the most of the beach scene with wakeboarding competitions. Urban Zone is all the BMX extreme adrenaline that anyone could ask for. Watch as BMX cyclists take on MECOG’s own custom skate/BMX park.
If watching sports bores you and you want to get in on some of the action, do have at it with recreational volleyball and dodgeball tournaments. You don’t have to participate the entire weekend so grab a team or fly solo and join one! For folks that just want to play games a little more chill Coors Light is hosting awesome games like Volley Pong, Ladder Toss and Giant Jenga to name a few.
