Shops at Don Mills is a beautiful outdoor mall located in the Don Mills area of Toronto. Joey’s is a relaxed and modern restaurant with an exceptional patio space on its roof top. The patio at Joey’s is beautifully decorated and spacious, the atmosphere is a great for a place to go to with friends for a birthday celebration or even a drink after work. The staff who work at the restaurant and bar are super friendly and accomodating. The food and drinks menu have a wide variety of options to choose from, you won’t be disappointed with this choice.

2. El Catrin
Located in the heart of the distillery district, El Catrin offers authentic and modern mexican cuisine. It was awarded the best mexican resraurant in 2014 by Dine T.O. The atmosphere at this patio/restaurant is always buzzing. The food here will make your mouth water just from the aroma and presentation. El Catrin offers anything from ceviche, to fish tacos..They also have their specialty drinks here such as a variety of mojitos and margaritas. This place is always packed and the patio spots are first come first serve. Be prepared for a wait on a saturday night, but a wait that is well worth it.

3. Gusto 101
Gusto 101 is known for its modern take on southern italian classics. The restaurant was built in a repurposed garage and has an outdoor to indoor section they open up in the summer. The patio is on the smaller side but it has a quiant neighbourhood feel. Their menu ranges in different appetizers or (antipasti) as they call it, also delicious pizza and pasta dishes to choose from. It’s a good patio to go to and sit in the sun enjoying some italian cuisine.

4. Brassaii
If you’re feeling more on the sophisticated side, Brassaii is a patio you could definitely check out. The atmosphere here is urban and moden, and the patio is beautifully decorated with cobblestone detail. Brassai is also a lounge during the night time and people come here for birthdays and events to enjoy with friends. The menu is Mediterranean inspired and they also have fancy cocktails here. It is on the pricer side but if sophisticated is what you’re looking for, this is it!

5. Jack Astor’s (Dundas St)
Jack Astor’s is a well known chain restaurant located accross Ontario. What makes Jack Astor’s at Dundas so unique is their patio on Dundas that overlooks Dundas Square. It’s an awesome place to go to with friends or family and enjoy the view of the city. If you’re a fan of drinking wine, I highly reccomend the sangria here. It’s the perfect blend of fruityness and sweetness, but if wine isn’t your thing they have plenty of other tasty drinks to choose from. 6. Cafe Diplomatico
Cafe Diplomatico is a classic spot on college street. It’s been around for quite some time, since 1968 to be exact. If you’re Italian and you’re from the city you’ve definitely heard of this spot of have been there yourself. Even if you’re not Italian Cafe Dipolatico is an awesome place to check out and enjoy an espresso, or a veal sandwich. The sunny patio is a good place to gather with friends or family and watch the euro cup games, they’re being screened there. It’s a family operated restaurant and you’ll almost feel like you’re in Italy while you’re there.

7. Mill Street Brewery Pub
Just like El Catrin, Mill Street Brewery Pub is also located in the distillery district. The coolest thing about this place is that they are a micro-brewery, and you can take a look at the brewing of beer while it’s in action. The menu features delicious pub favourites such as fish and chips, poutine, shepherds pie, and many others. There are so many fantastic beers to choose from here. If you’re a fan of a cold beer on a hot day then this is definitely the patio to check out this summer.

8. The Madison Ave Pub
The Madison Ave Pub has one of the most unique layouts for a pub that I’ve ever seen. Inside of a vintage victorian home, inside is comfortable and delicately decorated. Madison Ave Pub has its very own rooftop patio and this pub is definitely popular for university and college students in Toronto as a hangout spot. This pub also has some awesome promotions to take note of. such as tallboys on Friday and Saturday from 8-10 pm for only $4.42!

9. Bar Buca
Buca is consistently rated as one of the most top rated restaurants in Canada since its opening. It has been around since 2009 and is well known for combining both anuthentic and modern italian dishes. Duck egg pasta, slow cooked lamb, and goat and sheep cheese starters are just a few of the dishes featured on this equisite menu. There’s nothing better than good food, drinks, and company on a patio. Bar Buca on King Street West is the upscale patio of the summer to check out.

10. The Porch
This rooftop patio is definitely one of the most popular Toronto patio spots in the summer time. The view of the city from The Porch is unreal and their rooftop patio is super nice. The Porch is only three block’s north of the Rogers Centre, so it’s right near all the excitement in the city. They’re well known for serving their drinks in big buckets with straws and whole watermelon slices in them. It’s a drink you must try at least once in your lifetime!
