Top 10 Toronto Attractions
If you’re from Toronto this list is like a trip down memory lane but if you’re not from TO (you probably call it the Six that’s a tourism thing) this list could possibly be your virtual tour guide or at least get you started on what you must see when you’re in Toronto.
1. The CN Tower
It’s a tower that has an amazing view, if you’re feeling adventurous you can always check out the the EdgeWalk or check out the restaurant because why not. EdgeWalk is for all the cool people who prefer to walk on CN Tower instead of walk around it.
2. Casa Loma
Casa Loma is way more than a castle. You’ve probably seen this gem in your favorite movies and didn’t even know it. It’s been the setting for movies like X-Men, Chicago, and Scott Pilgrim vs the World to name a few. This place functions as museum and even hosts Escape Room events.
3. Hockey Hall of Fame
One simply does not mention Canadian attractions without mentioning the Hockey Hall of Fame. It’s dedicated to all things hockey. Point is if you’re a hockey fan and you’re in Toronto and you haven’t visited this place, you must drop everything and go now!
4. Toronto Zoo
What makes the Toronto Zoo so special is the fact that it’s the largest zoo in Canada. It’s so large that they had to break it down into regions. It’s one of the most diverse zoos and with a zoo so big, we can understand why. Rather you’re an adult or a child, you’re probably going to love this trip to the zoo. Toronto isn’t your every day zoo.
5. Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
Ripley’s has three aquariums and guess what, Canada has one! Ripley’s doesn’t believe in doing anything small so this aquarium is kind of a big deal. One of the highlights of this aquatic wonder is the walk through tank. It’s one of those things that you just have to see to believe.
6. Canada’s Wonderland
Technically this one isn’t in Toronto but it’s close enough. Canada’s Wonderland is the country’s largest theme park and we couldn’t leave it off the list. With a whooping sixteen roller-coasters how can anyone have a terrible time at this place? It’s open May-September and weekends and as the weather gets cold it moves into a weekend schedule.
7. Ontario Science Center
The Ontario Science Center is fun or adults and children and it finds the perfect way to blend art and science. Some of the exhibits make wanders stop and think and others are addictive to play with. If you’re looking for all things science, the Ontario Science Center is where you want to be.
8. Distillery District
Go shopping, listen to some live jazz or check out one of the many restaurants in the Distillery District. It’s one of those areas where the other “B” word is rarely mentioned because you’re too busy trying to do everything before it closes.
9. Air Canada Centre
We put this on the list because hella concerts come to Air Canada Centre. Celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Kanye West both have graced the stages here. Aside from being the venue for Drake’s OVO Fest, Air Canada Centre is also home to Toronto’s NBA team The Raptors. Catch a concert or a game, whatever you catch here, it’s going to be a good time.
10. Niagara Falls
Technically Niagara Falls isn’t in Toronto but it’s very close and it’s quite a breathtaking view leaving it off our list would be a disservice. Take in the falls and leave with a souvenir from one of the many shops. There’s also a casino, observatory deck and a lot of events throughout the year. There’s a reason why Niagara Falls is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world.
