You ever dream of opening up your own restaurant and think it could be the next best thing? Well you’re in luck! Toronto restaurateur Ruthie Cummings is hosting an essay contest and the winner will receive the popular gastropub Das Gasthaus. Cummings announced an essay contest and the award winning essay will get the restaurant to do what they want with. You read right! The owner of the gastropub is throwing in the towel after seventeen years to take care of her aging parents out of town.
Write a 500 word essay stating “How can the quality of care for seniors be improved in Canada,” and enclose a $150 entrance free and who knows you could find yourself the owner of a new pub. The winner can do whatever it wants with the property after it’s theirs. They can open up their dream restaurant or liquidate the assets. The restaurant comes with furnishings, licenses, and equipment and it totals to be around $144,550. Does this sound like your dream? Would you sign up?
