Canada’s Walk of Fame Festival

Walk of Fame Festival has been going strong for five years and this year is no different. The festival has a free outdoor street festival in Yonge-Dundas Square throughout the entire event. From September 25-28 there will be comedy, music acts and it features Canada’s stars of tomorrow. Here are few things to check out during the festival.

The Massey Hall Concerts

On the 25th Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahry perform. The local fiddling duo will take over Massey Hall with quite the energy as they pull from their traditional heritage. Also performing with them are Johnny Reid and Jimmy Rankin. Tickets can be purchased here.

On the 26th, hear iconic The Tea Party as they rock on their 20th anniversary national tour. They’ll be performing their album “The Edges of Twilight.” You read right! They’re performing the entire album which should make for an eventful night. Grab your tickets here.

The Horseshoe Tavern Music Showcase

September 28th there will be a music showcase featuring Canada’s rising stars including Ascot Royals, The Beaches, Ria Mae and the Bellwoods. Tickets are $10 and that’s a great price to see what Canada’s future music scene has to offer. You can say you were jamming to some of these guys before anyone else was.   (Tickets)

The Free Yonge-Dundas Square Concerts

September 29 Kira Isabella will perform at 7pm she’s known for her song “Quarterback” and her performance during Canada Music Week. She’s compared to the likes of Carrie Underwood and Faith Hill.

Other acts include Autumn Hill, Ashley Condon, Tomi Swick, and Eh440. September 30th the acts include Julian Taylor, DEUCEnDIP, Attica Riots and 54-40. Liam Titcomb, Ill at Will, Fracesco Yates and Trevor Guthrie close out the series on October 1st.

So music, comedy, free concerts, and even a festival. What’s there not to like? For more info on Canada’s Walk of Fame check out their website here.
