Woodbine Beach
The Woodbine Beach is quite popular as it provides you the opportunity to partake in beach volleyball. It is also quite the family destination boasting of a picnic area and a playground for young children. It also has a full service restaurant and provides ample parking space, making this an attractive option and one of Toronto’s busiest beaches.
Sunnyside Beach
Go over to Sunnyside Beach and have a good time as this narrow but long beach is quite popular among paddlers and those into rowing. Apart from that, you can also play beach volleyball and try the Gus Ryder Pool. There is a broad walk cafe available and changing rooms for visitors.
Ward’s Island
Away from the hustle and bustle and with no major park facilities nearby, this is one of the most peaceful and quietest beaches around. You can use ferries to get to the centre island.
Bluffer’s Park
A sandy beach with lovely picnic areas, Bluffers Park is located at the east of Brimley Road. There is a double launching ramp and also a visitor’s dockage among other facilities on this beach.
Centre Island Beach
Explore a whole new world as you take an adventurous trip across the lake on a ferry. The beaches are supervised and has waded pools available nearby.
Gibraltar Point Beach
Established in 2007, the Gibraltar Point Beach is a small and secluded beach. They have ferries that depart to the centre Island. There is also the Gibraltar Point Centre that draws quite a crowd for its art museum nearby.
Hanlan’s Point beach
Beach goers can play volleyball and enjoy other facilities, but what Hanlan’s Point Beach is quite famous for is that it is the second beach in Canada where a beach has a clothing optional area. Hanlan’s Point Beach is also backed by quite a significant sand dune.
Rouge Beach
A popular fishing spot, the Rouge Beach is shared along with the West Rouge Canoe club. It is quite familiar among families thanks to the children camp’s that get organised during the summer.
