Richie Hawtin started CNTRL in 2012 and since its debut, it’s had a heck of a following. Think of CNTRL as House Music University and a ticket will get your more than acquainted with house music. Richie Hawtin goes from campus to campus dropping house knowledge. Pupils have called him innovating and some call him a sellout. Either way we can all agree that it’s an intriguing party. CNTRL isn’t just an event, it’s an experience! CNTRL features Ean Golden, Justin James and Marc Houle just to name a few. Tap into your inner musician and get yourself a ticket for this one-day only experience.
School is in session April 19 at University of Toronto. If all this isn’t enough to pique your interest so far, Moog Audio is running a five hour tech marketplace with discounts during the lecture. There will also be an hour-long master class produced and hosted by Point Blank Music School. If you’re into house, you’re gonna want to be here because everyone is going to be talking about this for the rest of the year.
“CNTRL is a collection of inspiring artists who have taken control of their career and forged original paths through the music industry. By going out on the road and directly speaking to fans, this tour will move aspiring artists to find their own voice, and believe in the possibility of success, even if it doesn’t fit the typical music molds of today.” – Ean Golden
