Electric Elements Festival to Electrify Wasaga Beach
Electric Elements Music Festival is summer personified. It’s only right that it kicks off the summer season. On average over 12,000 people pack Wasaga Beach to see their favorite artists perform on a stage that is half the size of a football field. This year is no different. 2015 Electric Elements Music Festival kicks off May 17th with headliners like DVBBS, Fedde Le Grand, Deniz Koyu and so many more. For $89 you can kick back at the party of the summer with some of Canada’s finest EDM DJs.
Fedde Le Grand is known for redefining house music. He brings energy and somehow manages to make his edgy sound go mainstream. He’s known for remixing hits from artists like Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Shakira and so much more. Deniz Koyu specializes in progressive house and electro music. He has praises from Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto and Fedde Le Grand. MTV named him EDM artist to watch in 2012 and he has had a strong following ever since. DVBBS are a Canadian hit. They’re biggest song “Tsunami” caught the ears of many fans leading them to play at many festivals all over the world. They’ve performed with Tiesto, Steve Aoki and even Sander Van Doorn. Expect artists Blau, D.O.D, Hunter Siegel, Mark Mendes, Andy Ares, Mallo and Fuzey and even more to perform. This is definitely the greatest way to start the summer.
Expect to sweat or be dripping wet because the show goes on rain or shine. So break out that bikini and cut offs that you’ve waited all winter to sport. Also, sandals are the way to go. There’s nothing worse than walking around with sand in your sneaks. Sunnies and sunscreen are essential while you’re basking in the sun. And if you’re worried about transportation, don’t be. There will be buses picking up festival goers around the GTA area. The bus passes are $40 alone but with a festival ticket, it’ll be $120. The bus after the festival departs at 12:30 AM sharp.
