It’s a night of glitz and glamour, satin heels and bow ties. The third annual TIFF Gala is a less than a month away and fans this year are in for a special treat that will have them saying: “Oh My God-Father!”
Academy Award winning actor, Al Pacino, will grace the stage at the Festival Kickoff Party, which is new this year.
Following the on-stage conversation with Pacino—which will look back at his distinguished career—there will be a full elegant dinner and live musical performances that will keep your tear-drop sapphire ear-ring(ing). The night also includes a live auction, so don’t clutch those purses too tight.
The eight-time Oscar nominee stars in two films in official selection at this year’s movie marathon: “Manglehorn” and “The Humbling.”
Tickets are $1500 a piece and all proceeds “enable TIFF to continue inspiring and nurturing the next generation of film lovers, and support the careers of emerging filmmakers through a myriad of year-round programmes at TIFF Bell Lightbox.” – Press Release
The event has raised more than $1 million dollars in the first two years and hopes to continue riding that wave.
