There are only days left until VELD Music Festival and we can’t contain our excitement! This year’s line up is even hotter than you can imagine. The two-day festival takes place at Downsview Park in Toronto during the long weekend (August 2nd and 3rd).
Headlining the festival is Armin Van Buuren and Calvin Harris. The last time Toronto welcomed Armin Van Buuren was for his Armin Only – Intense tour in April. It was nearly a sold out show at the Metro Convention Centre where a crowd of 9000 fans danced with Van Buuren through the five-hour set. Now, having Armin Van Buuren at VELD is already amazing, but Calvin Harris as well? The Scottish DJ pushed limits and broke records with his album, 18 Months, and has continued to produce more hits songs since then.
You might not be able to catch a Swedish House Mafia show anymore, but you can sure catch Sebastian Ingrosso. Along with Van Buuren and Harris, Ingrosso will also be at this year’s VELD Music Festival playing his greatest hits. Of course, a festival as big as VELD is not complete without Martin Garrix. He drops beats like no other DJ and we’ll never get tired of hearing Animals, which became a top 10 hit in more than 10 countries! Toronto will also be welcoming Australian duo Knife Party to the VELD stage, along with Bingo Players, W&W, Tommy Trash and Dannic. It really is going to be an extraordinary festival with the most popular DJs from all over the world in attendance.
As if this line-up of DJs wasn’t already satisfying enough, there’s also the Bacardi Stage where you can get fancy with Iggy Azalea. The Australian sensation was just in town in a few months ago for her North American tour. If you missed her then, this is the perfect opportunity to see her perform live! Waka Flocka Flame, the rapper from Atlanta, Georgia, will also be on the Bacardi Stage along with others as well.
With a line up like this, you know the festival is going to be one hell of a weekend. Party with your favourite artists and dance to your favourite beats. I guarantee that you will have an unforgettable weekend at VELD 2014.
