
What’s black and white and furry all over? Pandas! Have you ever seen a panda before? Yes? Doesn’t it just make you want to be a panda so you can eat, sleep, and roll around all day? If you haven’t seen this routine yet, then you’ve got to visit the Toronto Zoo! Er Shun and Da Mao are the zoo’s newest and most popular addition since March 2013. Over 1 million people have come from all over Canada to see the giant pandas, which will be here for a few more years before they’re transported to the Calgary Zoo.

Pandas aren’t the only attraction that the Toronto Zoo has to offer. With 5,000 animals that represent 500 different species from all over the world, there’s sure to be something that surprises everyone. There’s a 5-acre Polar bear habitat, a Gorilla Rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef and so much more! Pony rides are available at a lot of festivals, but have you ever been on a camel? Get a first hand experience at the Toronto Zoo!
The Toronto Zoo is open year-round and the hours of operation for the summer are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and general admission is $28.
