While there are still a few months before the end of the year, it is pretty safe to make a list showing the top 10 games of the year. Sure, there might be something new come out before the holiday season, but that will most likely make next years list.
10: Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Based on 1980’s action movies, this game gives the player a chance to re-live some of action movies greatest bits. It even has moments with old VHS players giving information for some of the quests. Players will either love this game, or hate it. There isn’t much in between.
9: NHL 14

Ok, a sports game had to find it’s way into this list. NHL 14 is probably the best video hockey game thus far. With realistic hitting, helmets flying, and actual bruising on the players faces, this is NHL gaming at it’s best. Furthermore, it offers a trip down memory lane as it offers a chance to play the original 1994 version as well.
8: Crysis 3

A first player shooter game that adds mayhem to a beautiful design. People who have played the others from this series will enjoy it, but may complain that the game is too short.
7: Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

This is a role-playing game with a movie style. This game takes the player through Japanese animation at some of it’s best. It is not a complex game, but it certainly fits in the design of the game itself.
6: Grid 2

After more than 5 years away from the gaming circuit, Grid returns with his sequel and car racing fans are happy. This game has not changed much from the controls in the first one, but the worldwide tracks prove a great racing ground for all involved.
5: Metro: Last Light

The newest in the series of Metro games gives the shooter much better game play and a smoother pace than in previous games. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, people will enjoy.

Another installment in the army first player shooter. This game features great narratives and forces the player to pay attention rather than just shoot their way through. This is a very bloody game, and has lived up to its hype.

Another post-apocalyptic survival horror game. This is very artistic with amazing voice acting, design and more. This game will keep the player captivated from start to finish.

Probably the biggest hyped game this year. GTA5 has not left anyone feeling ripped off. There are just as many heists as in previous games but the sheer size of the game has players thrilled. With loads to explore everyone is thrilled to play and cannot wait for the expansion pack to be released with even more heists to plan and pull off!
