Who says true love doesn’t exist or that romance dies. A Paraguayan couple have a beautiful wedding that brought tears of joy to the guests – what made this ceremony so much more special, the bride and groom have been in love for 80 years! 103-year-old Jose Manuel Riella fell in love with his beautiful bride, 99-year-old Martina Lopez, 6 years before the outbreak on World War 2.

The ceremony was held at the couple’s home in Santa Rosa de Aguaray with close friends and relatives. They had a civil wedding 31 years ago but they wanted to have a religious service as well – better late than never, besides there is no clock ticking when it comes to love!
They have eight children, 50 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and now 2 weddings bands that strengthened and binded their love for one another.
