REVIEW: Just the name of this festival is pretty rad, “cream” the play on word a la cream of the crop of the best one can say and this festival is that. Love this City and R U TAINTED guarantees if anyone visits this festival they display the best and beyond example Tiesto, but we only wish instead of two days, scratch to four cause we just can’t get enough of the best.

It has that same familiar signature of just uniting everyone under one roof, one umbrella to provide the greatest audio experience. And hey, we at Love this City are all about peace, love and unity towards everyone.

FUTURE MUSIC FESTIVAL

future

Established in 2006 (and ended in 2015 unfortunately), the Future Music Festival connected the hearts of music and culture loving concertgoers worldwide. The award winning festival was renowned for not only supplying popular acts but also shining the light on emerging underground artists as well. Amongst like many other festivals, it expanded worldwide to Asia but stayed true to their DIY way of culture, expression and music and art for many years. The Future Music Team announced this summer was the last year for the festival. It may have been short lived but never forgotten.

REVIEW: Hey! We definitely can’t speak for the men on the team and maybe the ladies when I say this: Who would not want to the coveted First Class VIP? What’s that you say? Oh you know, fake air-hostesses ushering into people into a two story marquee, where cocktails, makeovers and hot people await you. We were just jealous that we didn’t get to experience this before it was over.

LOVELAND

loveland

With an estimated 20,000 and plus fans who attend, the Loveland Festival based from Amsterdam only has the best talent attracted to the festival. Located in a fun location, inclusion of a swimming pool and surrounding landscape draws a playground like atmosphere for the young at heart. Clearly with a festival that includes a swimming pool, who past boundaries and traditions, this is a festival not to be missed.

REVIEW: One cool thing we noticed is their mascot (the butterfly this year) which symbolizes the attraction and passionate to the music at the festival or where the butterfly flew the fans hands rise in the crowd. We guess it takes the moth to the flame thing to its literal sense, huh? Kind of artsy and really cool, but here at Love this City we’re sure to become Dutch speaking enthusiasts after being mind blown at that wild festival.

COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL

coachella

Coachella, is only the common known arts and music festival worldwide. The festival is scheduled annually in the spring for a three day music and arts festival. The event features many musical genres and artist as well as sculptured art. Thanks to this festival, it has showcased many emerging, upcoming acts as well as legendary and reunion acts.

REVIEW: Coachella can do no wrong in our eyes, because it always exceed our expectations. And not to mention, the cool celeb run ins who just crash the festival like it’s no biggie… hottie Katy Perry. All we have to say is this, check this festival.

NORBERG FESTIVAL

norberg

This festival offers a unique mixture of electronic music at a spectacular location around Mimerlaven. For three days a year, concrete buildings transform into an underground playground where fans have opportunities to experience a multicolored spectrum of music, sound art and clubs. The light and sound installations alone truly make Norberg festival a one of a kind, combining to become an important event to the Norberg music scene.

REVIEW: Although this is a new festival brought to the Love this City team, hey we want to experience it and not to mention its Sweden which is located in Europe, need we say more? Europeans love to party hardy just like we do, so we’re sure we’ll fit just right in.

The festival was met with even more success with a continual annual renewal. The massive three day EDM techno fest is one of the largest of its kind, hosting 165,000 fans in various stages and the sounds of new talent and legendary pioneers.

REVIEW: UMF can we say more? It may be always a party pumped with quality music but if you’ve been to Ultra, there is a bound to see some crazy stuff, like you know remember the girl making out with a tree (That’s totally normal right?), surprise random guests, a lot of skin, laser beams with strobe lights, trust us it’s an experience like no other.

GLOBAL GATHERING FESTIVAL

global gatheringHeld on the last weekend of July every year (but in 2015 they took a well deserved break), Global Gathering has established itself in the United Kingdom as a major dance festival since emerging onto the scene in 2001. Festivals are held in the UK, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, recently Miami and feature leading electronica acts all around the world. This festival differentiates their mission as expanding dance music from clubs to outdoor music festival venues.

REVIEW: This festival is known for its line up but they pretty much bring it to satisfy even the most hardcore fans of any electronic genre. Going to this festival is going to be big rave-a-thon providing a showcase of acts that may not be seen anywhere else in the world so here at Love this City we are so going to scoop up the opportunity, then boast about it afterword cause we’re cool like that, duh.

SENSATION WHITE FESTIVAL

sensation

Sensation has commenced Amsterdam of 2009 and since then more than a half of million people have experienced one of the most spectacular dance, music phenomenon in the world. Renowned electronica acts such as David Guetta have taken to the Sensation decks along with extraordinary stage shows, acrobats, actors, state of the art light shows, lasers and fireworks. Fans can also expect performers dancing across the venue, flames shooting the stage and carnival floats. As Sensation’s reputation has grown, music has evolved and taken a life of its own with its focus on choosing acts that compliment the Sensation event to be the best as possible and play the best cutting edge music of today and tomorrow. To add to the spontaneity element of the event, Sensation chooses a theme for each year, alas to display how forward thinking each show will be for many years to come.

REVIEW: Love this City is ecstatic for Sensation embarking to the United States and hopefully Canada will be in the near future. Why we love this festival? Picture White Wonderland festival with everyone in the color white but just even crazier things including acrobats! A definite must visit.
