Summerdaze Fest makes you wish we had long summers in Toronto

“Summerdaze makes you wish we had long summers.” If you summed up the reviews on their Facebook page, this is the consensus about the summer long series focusing on international and local music, food and art. Summerdaze is an organic festival celebrating electronic music (house music) over cold drinks, good vibes and amazing food vendors from all over the city. If you don’t stay for the music, you’ll most definitely stay for the atmosphere. Events start during the day and continue into the night at non-traditional venues around the city to provide attendees a unique experience. The theme of 2014 was ‘Expect the Unexpected’ and after hosting 11 events the Summerdaze team kept us on our toes, with themes at each event, amazing venues, a line up of 50+ local dj’s and an unforgettable list of international headliners including Apollonia, Kim Ann Foxman, Frank & Tony, Nick Curly & Ten Walls just to mention a few.

Artscape is the perfect venue being that it is an artist retreat centre nestled within nature and surrounded by trees backing onto a gorgeous beach. There is also forty-six acres of park and a private dock. The creative energy, the idyllic scenery, along with the all-star line-up will bring you to a place you’ve never experienced and will have you questioning if you’re really in Toronto? Summerdaze promises colorful events full of good vibes, featuring local and international talent in beautiful places, and they deliver just that. DJ Magazine rated their 2014 summer end party as one of the top parties of the summer.

Summerdaze introduces people to new places, and that’s what makes these events stand out. Last year the 2014 season closing party was hosted within the walls of Historic Fort York, which is an exclusive venue for Summerdaze as no other event has been held within the walls of the Fort.
