6 Places To Stay In While Partying With Your Crew In Toronto
Natalie Pereira | July 19th, 2016
Everyone who has been to Toronto can safely say that we are blessed with an abundance of clubs, bars, concerts and events. But before you book your booth and bottles at your favourite club on Queen Street, check out this list of the best hotels to plan your perfect weekend stay at with your friends.
DoubleTree Hilton– 108 Chestnut Street, Toronto.
My Recommendation: 1 King, 2 Room Deluxe Suite w/ Kitchen and Sofa bed
This hotel is perfect for pre-gaming with friends, and drunkenly stumbling in at 3am. Located a five minute walk to St. Patricks subway station (and right next to City Hall), the hotel falls right in the heart of Toronto, making it prime location for you to stay! Take full advantage of your suite with it’s free wifi, full-sized fridge (for drinks and munchies), and sofabed!
Con: All of the suites are non-smoking, so you’re going to have to make the trip outside your hotel to go for a smoke break.
Delta Toronto– 75 Lower Simcoe Street, Toronto.
My Recommendation: Luxury Suite
Located minutes away from the Rogers Centre, the Delta is great hotel if you’re looking for comfortable rooms with lots of space. The Luxury Suite is a great snag if you plan to split with a group of friends, and has a spectacular view of the CN Tower. Every room in the hotel has a view of Toronto; whether it be Lake Ontario or the Toronto skyline, your next IG picture will be poppin.
Con: Like many other hotels, you have to pay for parking. If you’re coming out of town, take the Go Train to save you some extra $$.
Courtyard by Marriott– 475 Yonge St, Toronto.
My Recommendation: 1 King Bedroom Suite w/ Sofa bed
This newly renovated hotel is a quarter-mile to the Eaton Centre, has an indoor lap swimming pool AND a 24-hour gym! For those who want to take their time getting ready, and check in early, this hotel offers it all. When staying in the king bedroom suite, enjoy all of the 484 square feet that this corner room offers and take a quick nap on the bed before your friends get there!
Con: There’s no rollaway beds available – so if there’s no more room on the bed or sofa bed, last one to claim their spot will be stuck on the floor (or the bathtub, whichever they prefer).
Residence Inn by Marriott– 255 Wellington Street W, Toronto.
My Recommendation: 2 Bedroom Suite
This super spacious suite gives you alllllllllll the room you need for all your pre-party, and after-party needs. This room is perfect if you love having all your friends around you, but still enjoy your personal space when you need it – as it has two bedrooms, bathrooms AND a sofa bed. The Residence Inn is also surrounded by a variety of restaurants and food spots, making it the perfect location for your weekend stay.
Con: Being three blocks away from the CN Tower will guarantee that this hotel is super busy, make sure you book ahead of time to snag a room!
Sheraton Centre– 123 Queen Street W, Toronto.
My Recommendation: Self-Contained Suite
The Sheraton has a massive lobby, and an easy location for taxis/Uber’s to find. Enjoy your room with a view of the infamous ‘Toronto’ sign across from City Hall, and spend your morning swimming in the stunning outdoor pool, while you make your best friend run to the Subway on University Avenue, and grab lunch for you!
Con: Bedroom walls at the Sheraton are super thin, and noise travels easily. Don’t risk getting a noise complaint once you come back from your night out!
Sky Suites Yorkville– 85 Bloor Street E, Toronto.
My Recommendation: Royal Two Bedroom Apartment
This apartment-like suite is meant for more upscale events (that means no rowdy pre-parties), but offers only the best for it’s guests. Located in Yorkville, with a gorgeous balcony view of the city; this spot has everything you possibly need for a comfy, and luxurious stay.
Con: This spot tends to be one of the more pricier locations (since it’s located in Yorkville), be prepared to drop a couple extra bills if you wanna stay here.
